Governor Aníbal Acevedo-Vilá, a Principal at Optim Group, served as the eighth Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Before his election as Governor, Mr. Acevedo-Vilá served as the Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico during the 107th and 108th Congresses and member of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives from 1993-2001. Governor Acevedo-Vilá was an active member of the National Governors Association, the Southern Governors Association and the Democratic Governors Association.

Governor Acevedo-Vilá holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Sciences, a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard University.

Joel A. Montalvo, a Principal at Optim Group, is an attorney with more than 10 years of experience in government and public affairs. Mr. Montalvo comes to Optim Group after serving as Legislative Director to the Governor of Puerto Rico and Legislative Assistant to the Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico in the U.S. House of Representatives. Currently, he is also an Adjunct Professor at the Sacred Heart University of Puerto Rico where he teaches ADR, negotiation and mediation skills and at the School of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico lecturing about Codes and Regulations in Architectural Practice.

Mr. Montalvo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC.

Juanita Colombani, a Principal at Optim Group, is a journalist with over 20 years of experience. Mrs. Colombani comes to Optim Group after serving as Press Secretary and Communications Director to the Governor of Puerto Rico. Previously, Mrs. Colombani worked as a correspondent for El Nuevo Día newspaper-the major newspaper in Puerto Rico. She has also worked for various radio news outlets and for the United Press International (UPI) and its Spanish radio broadcasting service, UPI Radio Noticias.

Mrs. Colombani holds a Bachelors of Arts in Public Communications from the University of Puerto Rico.
